Announcing MER’s new Membership and Marketing Manager: Aubrey Beam

Aubrey is seated wearing a white button down shirt, glasses, with a smile and shoulder length brown curly hair.

After two years of service, MER wishes a fond farewell to Sam Theriault who helped the organization run smoothly and efficiently. They were an integral part of the team and will be missed!

We were honored by the number of applications we received for the Membership and Marketing Manager position. After a thorough search, we are excited to welcome Aubrey Beam to MER.

Aubrey Beam (she/her) is a current graduate student at Tufts University, studying Art History and Museum Studies. Before moving to the Boston area for school, Aubrey worked in a number of arts organizations in California’s Bay Area, including the San Jose Museum of Art, the Jessica Silverman Gallery, and the Djerassi Resident Artists Program, where she developed a passion for museums and museum education. Most recently, Aubrey worked at the Cantor Arts Center at Stanford University from November 2019 to August 2021 where she took on the role of the Public Programs Coordinator. The position was extremely rewarding as it allowed her to create and participate in programs for different constituents, such as students, families, and the general public. During her time there, she also had the opportunity to join two DEAI-centered task forces who worked to make Stanford art spaces more equitable and accessible. She is excited to continue working within the museum education field, and to support MER’s Board of Directors. Aubrey received her B.A. in Art History from Stanford University with a minor in Civil Engineering.

Aubrey began her role in October 2021 and is still learning the ins and outs of the organization, but will be up to speed soon. We thank you for your patience during this time of transition for MER. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out at [email protected]
