The Museum Education Roundtable mourns Soon Chung Park, Hyun Jung Grant, Suncha Kim, Yong Ae Yue, Delaina Ashley Yaun, Paul Andre Michels, Xiaojie Tan, and Daoyou Fen, who were murdered in Atlanta this week – six of whom were Asian women.

We stand in solidarity with those who have experienced and resisted anti-Asian racism, misogyny, and violence. We grieve alongside our friends, board members and colleagues who have been affected by these recent acts of hate and the increase of anti-Asian violence since the start of the pandemic.

Tonight, we join you in sitting with this sadness. Tomorrow, we have the opportunity to channel that pain into power.
